goodbye mom

Goodbye mom

Original title: Aeja
Country: South Korea
Genre: Drama
Director: Gi-hoon Jeong

Aeja was once a promising student with excellent grades and her biggest dream was to become a successful writer. However Aeja enters a long rebellion phase where she finds it much more interesting to get into fist fights and crash her brothers wedding. The writing isn't going very well and her boyfriend cheats on her, on top of that her mother become very sick and Aeja returns home to take care of her.

This movie is about growing up, to mature and realize that nothing last forever. No matter how angry Aeja is with her mom, her journey will make her realize that she only has one mom and she won't live forever.

It's no secret that I'm a big fan of the South Korean cinema. I'm definitely adding this movie to my favorite list. It's interesting, it's fun, it's touching and it's sad too. I love how fun and heartwarming some scenes are among all the trouble. Aeja is a wondeful and complex character and it's hard to not love her.

    1. Hi!

I'm not super familiar with Stockholm unfortunately so I don't have very much to contribute :/ However you should visit "gamla stan" :) It's a very picturesque area :) There's a very cute store there selling beautiful snowglobes, carousels, pretty music boxes and other items :) I don't remember the name of the store though, but Gamla stan is just one street with stores so you should walk by it :) There's also a store called science fiction bokhandeln located in Gamla stan. They have tons of manga, japanese mags, movies and anime merchandise :)

The butterfly house is located in Hagaparken :) Here's the link to their website :) http://www.fjarilshuset.se It's very nice! I hope you like it as much as I do! :)

About the lolita store. There used to be a lolita store in Stockholm selling brand, but it closed years ago :( I don't think there is any lolita store in the area right now, but I'm not very educated about the local stores :/

I hope you and your girlfriend have a great time in Stockholm! :)

      xoxo
